Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil
Product Name Red Ripple ... we're not certain which fountain pen went with this pencil, but our best guess is that it is the mate to a ripple 52, 53, or 54 pens which were all more or less the same size.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, 1920s
Length 5-9/16"
Filling System Takes thick style (1.1mm) leads. Lead extends in the traditional, twist mechenism, but you may have to push it with your finger to make it retract. We'll include a small pack of leads. The lead container is accessed by unscrewing the top piece, but the eraser is very old, hard and dried out so you would probably need to break it apart in order to remove it.
Color Red hard rubber in the "Red Ripple" design, with gold plated trim.
Condition Excellent condition. The pen has some scratch marks on the body. The clip is a bit scratched in the mid-section. The end piece is a little rough around its top edge. The pen is personalized, "R.W. Robbins." The imprints are visible; the photos show them well.
