Product Description
Type Waterman fountain pen and ballpoint pen
Product Name Rhapsody -- this was a specialty version of the Man 200 sized pen.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, France ... circa 1990s.
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Takes cartridges or you can use bottled ink via the included converter. The ballpoint takes Waterman refills, and a good refill is installed in the pen.
Color "Caviar" a nice lizard-skin white with black. Black end pieces, gold trim.
Nib Broad "L" 18k two tone nib.
Condition Near mint condition. This is a shiny pen set with a beautiful marbled pattern. The pen has light wear with some microscratches. There are polishing marks on the cap band and clip. The trim ring at the front of the section looks great. The imprints are clear. Ships in Waterman box, though it's not the original box.
Please note that we frequently find these Man 200 fountain pens with barrels that have shrunk, and where the section can't be unscrewed without a lot of force. This pen was like that when we got it, so we worked to reduce the first 1/2 inch inside of the barrel just a smidgen, and it now unscrews fairly easily. We recommend that you unscrew the section periodically, even if you are not using the pen, just to prevent it from getting too tight a grip on the section.
