Product Description
Type High end modern fountain pen, small crack on section threads
Product Name Serenite
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, France -- circa 2005.
Length 5-5/8"
Filling System Takes international cartridges and converters. A Waterman piston converter is installed. You access the converter by holding the section and turning the barrel. Once it's unscrewed, you can pull the whole nib unit out of the pen.
Color Black resin with sterling band and accents.
Nib 18k medium nib, rhodium masked.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box with paperwork. The nib looks great and the imprints are crisp. There is light handwear and scratching on the cap and barrel. There is a crack in the section threads - we've included a detailed shot of this area in the photos. It should not affect the pen's function, because the converter or cartridge seats inside a metal tube and the section threads are outside that tube. Ships in Waterman Serenite box with paperwork and polishing cloth. There are also two boxes of cartridges in the bottom of the box, though we suspect that some of the liquid has evaporated and the remaining ink is super concentrated.
Important: please note how the pen opens, as these pens are easy to break and you won't be able to get a refund from us if you break it. There's a notch in the edge of the cap, which fits into a ridge inside the barrel, and once these are lined up, the cap snaps on and off. In order to remove the section for filling, remove the cap (it snaps on and off, it doesn't turn), and hold the sterling band and turn the barrel. This will release and push out the section.
