Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Skywriter (it's marked on the barrel). This one has a clip along the lines of the Ink-Vue's clip.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, Canada – circa 1930s to mid 1940s.
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Green marble colored body with gold plated trim, a thin double cap band, and an Ink-Vue style wide lined clip.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM nib marked 14kt R Canada. It's super smooth with nice tipping. Nice flexibility with easy line variation from medium to a nice broad with hardly any pressure, and double broad with just light pressure. Close to what we would call full flex. See writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition. There are some lesser scratches on the cap and barrel as well as some fine fissures radiating from the center point of the top and bottom of the celluloid. There's just a little plating wear on the sides of the clip and the lever, and a little on the cap bands. No chips, dings, dents, or personalization. It's fully restored and working well.
