Color Blue in a marbled pattern that is vaguely stripey. The trim is gold-filled or plated. There is a single thin cap band.
Nib 14k nib is marked "Watermans IDEAL 14-KT." and is fine and nicely flexible. If you are looking for flex that is easy to write with on an every day basis, these 1940s Watermans can't be beat in terms of flex-per-dollar. Flexes up to double broad (see sample below).
Condition Excellent, with only a little wear on the plastic and a small amount of plating wear. The imprint is clear and crisp. Smooth writing.
