Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Stalwart "Clerical" model. We've also seen it described as the "Cloister" model or "priest pen."
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in Canada -- late 1940s.
Length More or less full size at 5 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black cap and barrel with chrome trim and two thin cap bands. Just below the clip, on the cap, there is an etched cross.
Nib FINE 14k Waterman's #3 nib, made in France. It's got some give and minor line variation, so we consider it semi-flex.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a dark, shiny pen with the unique feature of an etched cross on the cap. The barrel has light scratching that is a bit more pronounced near the end. The cap has light to moderate scratching. The lever looks good. The clip has quite a bit of splotchy plating wear. The cap bands look nice with a small line of plating wear on the upper band's top edge. The imprints are nice and clear.
