Product Description
Type Lever fill fountain pen
Product Name Stalwart
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, late 1940s
Length Full size - 5"
Filling System Lever filler - excellent working condition with a new sac
Color Lovely olive green in a marbled pattern that is vaguely stripey with gold plated trim. Single thin cap band.
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE 14k nib is marked "Watermans IDEAL." It's smooth with good tipping material. Excellent flex, a little better than "every day flex" and not quite full flex. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The only plating wear is on the cap band. Otherwise there's hardly a dot of brassing on the gold trim. Some very light scratches on the cap and lower barrel, but only a few, and generally the whole of the pen is really smooth and shiny looking, with a clear imprint. It's beautiful, and working well after our restoration process.
