Type Lever fill fountain pen and pencil set
Product Name "Crusader"
Manufacturer and Year Waterman - late 1940s. The pen is marked Canada , but the pencil is not marked as to country.
Length Pen slightly under 5-1/4", pencil slightly over 5-1/4"
Filling System Lever filling system, fully restored. The pencil takes .9mm leads and works via the clutch mechanism, i.e. you press down on the whole cap and the lead releases by gravity.
Color Chocolate brown with a satin gold-colored cap with widely spaced grooved rings. Trim is chrome colored. (Note that the pencil had some sort of clear coating that has yellowed a bit over time, giving the cap a more gold color than that of the pen. The pen seems to not have had the coating at all.)
Nib MEDIUM semi-hooded Taperite nib with some flex -- 14k nib. Good tipping.
Condition Superior condition, with a few tiny spots in the matte gold finish of the caps. The clip on the pen does not quite touch on the cap surface. No cracks or chips or personalization.
