Product Description
Type Vintage lever-filler fountain pen
Product Name W2
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, England (1930s-early 1950s)
Length 5"
Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the sac and it works very well.)
Color Burgundy. The trim is gold plated or filled.
Nib The 14k nib is marked Waterman's 14CT W-2B. It is nicely flexible with a lot of tipping material, just short of full flex by our estimation. Fine point. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent Condition. Slight handwear and microscratching, but the overall effect is fairly smooth and shiny. There is one thin and shallow scratch between the lever and section, about 1/2" long, visible without magification. The imprint on the barrel is crisp. The cap band has some brassing along the edge. There is also some brassing on the sides of the clip. Very smooth writer with a good amount of flex to experiment with.
