Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name DeLuxe
Manufacturer and Year Wearever, made in U.S.A. - circa 1940s
Length 4-15/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black and brown in a sort of tiled mosaic pattern. Black section and ends, and gold plated trim.
Nib Medium 14k nib with steel reinforcing frame. Apparently Wearever used this style of nib for a few years in order to reduce the amount of gold used and therefore keep costs down.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is an interestingly colored pen, quite shiny and nice. The front edge of the nib reinforcing frame has some dots of pitting on the edge. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and moderate scratching. The cap has light to moderate scratching. All of the trim - lever, cap band, and clip - has brassing. The clip and lever also have small dots of pitting. The two black end pieces are in excellent condition. The imprint on the barrel is somewhat worn, but still easily readable.
